Spondylosis
Age-related wear of the spine's discs, joints and ligaments. Prevalence rises significantly after age 50, but imaging findings do not always correlate with symptoms.
Spondylosis is a general term used to describe age-related degeneration of the spine, including the intervertebral discs, joints, and vertebrae. It often results from wear and tear, leading to conditions such as disc degeneration, bone spurs, and joint stiffness.
Common symptoms include neck or back pain, stiffness, and reduced mobility. In some cases, spondylosis can compress nearby nerves, causing numbness, tingling, or weakness in the arms or legs.
Risk factors include aging, repetitive strain, obesity, and a sedentary lifestyle.
Treatment may involve physical therapy, pain management, lifestyle modifications, or, in severe cases, surgery

A spine consultation begins with a clinical examination and — usually — a review of recent imaging. WhatsApp is the fastest way to enquire; for a same-day slot, calling the OPD chamber during its listed hours is best.
