Skills & techniques

Surgical repertoire.

Proficient in both traditional open and minimally invasive spine surgery techniques. Regularly performed procedures include:

  • Open and microscopic tubular microdiscectomy
  • Instrumentation and fixation for Koch's spine and traumatic spine
  • PLIF, TLIF and OLIF for lumbar fusion
  • Lateral mass fixation and decompression for the cervical spine
  • Anterior cervical discectomy and fusion (ACDF), anterior cervical corpectomy and fusion
  • Vertebroplasty and kyphoplasty for osteoporotic compression fractures

Additional operative experience assisting spinal deformity correction (kyphoscoliosis) and craniovertebral junction procedures (transarticular screw for C1-C2, occipitocervical fusion, atlantoaxial instability, basilar impression).
