Graduated from one of India's oldest and most rigorous undergraduate medical programs. Rotations across general medicine, surgery, paediatrics, and obstetrics before specialising.

MS Orthopaedics · Grant Government Medical College & Sir J.J. Group of Hospitals, Mumbai (2020)

Postgraduate training in orthopaedic surgery, including subspecialty rotations in spine, arthroplasty, and paediatric orthopaedics.

Clinical Spine Fellowship · Stavya Spine Hospital & Research Institute, Ahmedabad (2023–24)

Under the mentorship of Dr. Bharat Dave, one of India's pioneers in spine surgery. Focus on the full spectrum of degenerative spine disease, complex revision surgery, and minimally invasive techniques.

Awarded a fellowship through the AO Spine program, under mentorship of Dr. Jason Cheung. Focus on spinal deformity correction and cervical spine surgery.

Skills & techniques

Surgical repertoire.

Proficient in both traditional open and minimally invasive spine surgery techniques. Regularly performed procedures include:

  • Open and microscopic tubular microdiscectomy
  • Instrumentation and fixation for Koch's spine and traumatic spine
  • PLIF, TLIF and OLIF for lumbar fusion
  • Lateral mass fixation and decompression for the cervical spine
  • Anterior cervical discectomy and fusion (ACDF), anterior cervical corpectomy and fusion
  • Vertebroplasty and kyphoplasty for osteoporotic compression fractures

Additional operative experience assisting spinal deformity correction (kyphoscoliosis) and craniovertebral junction procedures (transarticular screw for C1-C2, occipitocervical fusion, atlantoaxial instability, basilar impression).
